Almost to the airport in Dallas. Three hour drive, hour and a half flight. Hotta love living in the middle of nowhere near an airport!!!

Hello Quilters!!! I'm heading to Kansas City in the morning to attend the Machine Quilters Showcase and I'm so excited!!!! I'll get to take some classes from the "big girl Quilters" and hopefully come home with tons of new tips and tricks!

I've got the laundry done, the house is clean, suitcase packed and the last customer quilt is in the frame to finish up before I go! Im just waiting for time to leave now!

Happy quilting!!!!

I have a new block of the month program floating around in my head and I need help!  I want to do something based on old favorites.  Your favorite, old time, traditional blocks.  I have a setting arrangement, and block size, just need to know what type of blocks you would like to see in a quilt!  This is a program that I anticipate doing in 1800 reproduction fabrics or something along that line and it won't begin until next year so you have time to finish up this year's programs before I hit you with this one!  Let me know what you think!

Hello again quilters!!!  The holidays are over and it's back to the normal every day quilt world things.  I will be doing the program for the Brownwood Quilters Guild on Tuesday and my first show of the year will be the last weekend of the month in Jefferson.  Of course I want new samples and instead of working on them during the non-show season, I am doing them at the last minute.  I did have a couple of friends help me with the piecework, but now to get them quilted and keep on track with my customer quilts!

Look on the home page later this week for a special announcement about a quilt shop in Austin, Texas!!!  I'm under the "confidential" law until tomorrow, so mums the word until then, but I can tell you it's an exciting event!

I'm changing the home page up some, again, and adding a quilting slide show.  Hopefully, I will be efficient enough to change it weekly, but my goal is to feature the customer quilts that I have quilted each week, so there should be something new to see every week!

Heading off to bed, so that I can get up early and make the trip to Austin in the morning for the Amazing Announcement!!!  Until next time, take time to stitch! - Angela

Took my son and his family to the airport today, another year and visit too qickly ended!!  I already miss that sweet grandbaby girl.  I'll get to see her again soon thiugh since we will be going to her house in March to greet her new baby sister!!!

Got home from the airport trip and stripped the beds, did the laundry, cleaned the house and caught up on about 4 hours of work that had been let unattended while the family was here.  I'm tired!!!!  Back to quilting the customer quilts tomorrow, I haven't quilted in a week and I' having withdrawals!!!  It will be good to introduced myself to my machine again!!!!

Until next time, take time to stitch!!!

Another year has come and gone and it went so quickly!!!!  I remember my parents always telling me that the older I got the faster time would fly, and they were right!!!  I want to thank each one of you for helping me stay in business this year and allowing me to do for a living what I love!!!  I look forward to another great year in 2012 and I hope you all enjoy the club activities!!!!  Pictured below are my husband and I with all of our kiddos & their babies.  Have a happy and blessed New Year and until next time, happy quilting!!!!!

I can't believe December is here and Christmas is just around the corner and I'm still, as usual, NOT READY!!!!

The Challenge winner is posted on the home page and the club page, congratulations to Sherri Marshall from Blanket, Texas!!!  Winner of the $75.00 gift certificate!!!

I have added some new sale fabrics to the club page and information about a Block of the Month program just for club members that will start in January, with a winning prize of Free Quilting or $100 gift certificate!!!  Should be fun, and it will get one block of the month program finished!!!

New fabrics have been uploaded and new books, so many things, so little time!!! It's the Christmas crunch time for me right now and lot a lot of time for breathing, but I am looking forward to the week after Christmas will I will be closed for the holidays and spending time with my family!

I hope you all have a blessed and wonderful Christmas season!  Until next time, happy quilting!

Hello Quilting Angels!!!!

Market was great fun and I came back with lots of new rulers, books, patterns and tons of ideas!!!  I finally found a pattern download for this month and it is ready for you to click and print!  Be sure to take time to watch the Charm Pack Turkey tutorial, cute pattern from one of the best sites I have found for tutorials!

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!  Until next time...happy quilting!

The October Quilt Challenge is over and the contestants that were able to get their projects completed have entered their pictures and they need your votes!!!!  Select your favorite and let send me your vote through the contact form provided below the pictures.

I just got back from fall market and found (as usual) lots of fun things, pretty fabrics that will be arriving in the spring and of course, new rulers!  I'm a sucker for gadgets and this year I didn't walk away empty handed!  Check out the tutorial section for the Rapid Fird Hunter Star Ruler and the Rapid Fire Lemonye Star ruler.  The lemonye star ruler lets you make a lemoyne star block with no Y seams, no set in seams and no half-square triangles, really a cool new toy!

There is another new Turning Twenty Book....Stained Glass & Scraps.  I like this one better than the last two or three because it goes back to the basics of the turning twenty, not a lot of other yardage is required and not a lot of extra cuts to make the block.  I will have kits using this new pattern in the spring.

Hope you are having fun in the club, until next time - Happy Quilting! - Angela

Isn't it wonderful!!! Cooler temperatures AND rain!!!!!  We were in such a need for rain and we received 4.6 inches here in the big city and hopefully we'll get some more!

If you haven't got your fabric pack yet there's still time!  Pictures aren't due until the end of the month.  I will then post all the entries with a number and the club members will vote on their favorite and the winner gets that $75.00!!!

If you saw last month's tutorial on the EZ Dresden, below is a picture of Vita's block and a table runner I made using this ruler.  Really pretty and fun to make!
