2010 BEST OF SHOW - HEART OF TEXAS QUILT SHOW
BROWNWOOD, TEXAS
This year the Brownwood Quilter's Guild hosted their 6th Annual Heart of Texas Quilt Show at the Brownwood Colliseum in Brownwood, Texas. This annual event is a viewer's choice show with a first, second and third place winner being selected from each of sixteen categories. This year's Best of Show winner was entered by Mary Laminack of Marble Falls, Texas. Her quilt is entitled "Stars for A New Day". The quilt was designed by Sue Garmon and was offered as a block of the month through Alex Anderson and Ricky Timms quilting website. Her quilt was quilted by Angela McCorkle (that would be me!) and is absolutely gorgeous. In addition to winning best of show, she was also the first place winner in her category and the winner of the Guild Choice Award.
This quilt show is an annual event hosted on the fourth weekend of April each year. Below are close up views of the winning quilt.
