Spotlight on Quilting - January Quilts
Each week I will add pictures of quilts I have quilted for customers for your viewing pleasure. The quilts below are quilts that have been completed during the month of January. Most of the quilts for this past week were new show samples. I'll be adding quilts throughout the month!
The quilt below was made by the members of the Brownwood Quilters Guild and will be given away at the 2012 Heart of Texas Quilt Show the weekend of April 28-29, 2012.
The quilts below on the left are quilts that I quilted as my contribution to the Moda Challenge, 100 quilts in 100 days. In April, Moda issued a challenge to quilters across American to help in making 100 quilts in 100 days by making star blocks to be used in the quilts. Upon completion of the quilts, they are to be given to the Wounded Warriors. Moda contacted me to assist in this endeavor by quilting some of the completed quilts, these are the four quilts I quilted for them. There challenge was successful, 100 quilts were completed in 100 days!! The quilts on the right are the Market Samples I have quilted for Moda.
Buttons & Bees
Kim Gaddy, the creative mind behind Buttons & Bees, asked me a year ago if I would be interested in quilting her pattern samples and of course, I said yes! Below on the left are 2011 spring market samples and on the left are 2011 Fall Market Samples. You can find some of her patterns on this site in the Pattern section, but for more information about Kim and her other designs, you can check her out on her website, www.buttonsandbees.com.

This quilt was made by Bobbi Mordecia from Georgetown, Texas. Instead of putting feathered wreaths or swirls in the open areas, I used applique patterns and traced them on to the quilt and quilted the design in. It turned out really pretty!
Pictured below is a quilt made by Evelynn Fritz of Fredericksburg, Texas.
